"Wheel of Time" is a miniature version of the human evolution chain, created to accompany Ben-David's epic installation "Evolution and Theory", a culmination of the artist's years of fascination with nature and science.

The show has been touring the world for the past three years, visiting major museums and galleries in Europe, the US, the far east and Australia. It consists of 250 pieces, mostly documenting early Victorian scientific experiments, such as gravitation, reflection of light, radiation of heat etc. Ben-David also integrated into the installation the human evolution chain, made of 14 figures.

The evolution series is visually engaging without loosing any scientific and artistic substance. The 14 figures, made out of stainless steel painted black, form a circle that appears in the shape and the size of a CD.

Until now Wheel of Time has only been on display in the shops of the hosting museums and galleries. This is the first time the series becomes widely available to the general public via the internet. Although it is two-dimensional, all you need to do is to pull up the figures gently, until they are vertical. The effect will be a perfect 3D illusion.

Wheel of Time is now available directly from Zadok Ben-David at the price of £15 (inc. p&p) or alternatively from Peter Gabriel's online store.
