THE MAN WHO NEVER CEASED TO GROW, 1995

Handcut corten steel, L11.5 m x H200 x D30 cm

The installation shows a chain of figures, suggesting a figure in different stages of evolution.

The timeline of Victorian illustrations propose layers of imagination and human innovation, as they inhabit our different strategies of creating knowledge throughout history. It is a nostalgic work that reflects upon outdated scientific methods in the light of rapid new technology, and suggests a self awareness of the figure’s own future.
